The Unseen World is a place that overlaps our own, but is imperceptible to most of us. However, if we leave our minds open to the magic in our universe and everyday lives, then we leave our senses open to seeing the strange and magical creatures that live in The Unseen World. Some simply meander about, minding their own business, while others are the cause of things that happen in our world. They could be the reason you find yourself forgetting why you entered a room, or they might be why an object suddenly falls over seemingly without cause. This is how our two worlds strongly connect to one another!
This book is a creature journal I illustrated, wrote, and self-published through Kickstarter in 2021. The Unseen World: A Creature Journal is 10 inches by 10 inches (254mm x 254mm) and softcover with a matte finish. It is printed on 80lb gloss paper stock, bound together with perfect binding with a total of 72 full-colour pages. The art in this book started as a personal project of mine, and it blossomed into a series of 31 illustrations of individual creatures identified with a common name, scientific name, and description. In this book, those original illustrations were joined by additional pencil sketches and notations so each creature received its own full double-page spread to give you a better idea of which creatures to cuddle and which ones to be cautious around.
For Kickstarter rewards and add-ons, additional items were sold with the book. These included sticker sheets, tote bags, coasters, bookmarks, and five different soft enamel pins, all featuring creatures from The Unseen World.

This was my first ever self-published art book, and I am very thankful for the support of my family and friends. These incredible people helped me with all the work and tasks required for a successful Kickstarter project, including: crunching numbers, doing research, and sourcing printers.
